St. Paul Homes' Mission
The Mission/Goal Statement of St. Paul Homes
The mission of St. Paul Homes, formed and sustained by the Judeo-Christian faith, and historically related to the United Church of Christ, is to provide meaning, richness of life and health care services for those aging people who seek our facility in their retirement years. St. Paul Homes will endeavor to serve the total needs of the whole person regardless of race, creed, color, sex, disability, or ethnic background. St. Paul Homes provides care that focuses on the residents’ and families satisfaction and positive outcomes of care.
For those suffering temporary limiting illness, we carry out programs directed toward their becoming self-sufficient and returning home. For some residents, admission to St. Paul Homes is entrance into a community which will be home for their remaining years of life.
To fulfill our purposes the staff and residents together form a community of support to serve the spiritual, social and physical needs of each resident. We pledge:
To serve the indigent elderly to the extent that the stewardship of finances, including charitable donations, permit. Seeking annual support for this purpose is a high priority for St. Paul Homes.
To provide housing for the active retired person in an esthetic surrounding and in an independent living setting where freedom and personal choices are respected and long-term care is assured.
To establish charges at the lowest possible level consistent with quality care, sound management and fiscal practices.
To prioritize interdisciplinary performance improvement processes throughout the organization through systematic data use.
To provide for resident/family education to maintain health and promote self-care by creating an environment that encourages residents’ and families’ participation in care and care decisions; welcomes questions and responds to learning needs and requests.
The historic mission and goal of St. Paul Homes has been and will continue to be to maintain and enhance the dignity of human life. |
