Volunteers Are The Heart of Our Community (SEE PHOTOS)

    Volunteer Opportunities

Many people, including family members and community organizations, have graciously given their time and talents to St. Paul Homes.  Although St. Paul Homes employs full and part-time activity staff members, it would be impossible to provide the quality and quantity of activities, programs and special events that the activity calendar currently offers.  Volunteers enhance the quality of our residents lives by supporting our activity staff as well as many other programs and services offered by St. Paul Homes.  Currently, St. Paul Homes has more than 150 active volunteers that offer their time and talents to support services including:

  •  transporting residents to and from the activities, the beauty shop, Senior FITness and rehabilitation

  • working in the gift shop, Bistro

  • assisting with the Social Cart

  • assisting residents with using computers

  • straight sewing/labeling as needed

  • writing letters or reading mail as needed

  • assisting with activities such as exercise class and Bingo

  • providing entertainment

  • assisting with church services

  • offering one-on-one visits with residents

  • accompanying residents on outings, medical appointments, and shopping

These dedicated people help to create the friendly and warm atmosphere that is a tradition at St. Paul Homes.  Groups that volunteer at St. Paul Homes include churches, schools, social, civic, and service clubs, families and youth groups.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, or if you have a family member or are part of a group who would enjoy becoming a volunteer/volunteers, please contact Rose Hoffman, volunteer director by calling 724-588-7610 extension 1135.
